Is a yearly IPTV subscription worth it?

For most people who watch TV most weeks of the year, yes. The question to ask is simple: will I watch for more than 5 months out of the next twelve?

That number is the break-even point. Twelve monthly payments would cost €144, but after 5 months of paying €12 a time you would already have spent more than the yearly plan’s €59. Every month you watch after that is, in effect, free compared with paying monthly.

• Learn the TV guide and catch-up early on. They are the features people most often discover late and then wish they had used sooner.

• Put the end date in your calendar, with a reminder a week before.

Is a yearly plan right for a holiday home?

It depends on how long you spend there. Add up the months you are in Cyprus in a typical year. If the total is 5 months or more, the yearly plan is cheaper than paying monthly for each visit, even though it keeps running while you are away. If you visit for a few weeks at a time, the 1 Month plan at €12 per visit usually costs less. For one long summer stay, the 3 Months plan at €30 is often the sweet spot.

How renewal works

The yearly plan does not renew automatically. When the twelve months are up, it simply ends. If you would like another year, message us before the end date and we will set it up so there is no gap in your viewing. You can also choose a different length at that point.

A simple habit: put a reminder in your phone’s calendar about a week before your plan ends.

“What if I stop watching halfway?” That is the real risk of any upfront plan, and the reason the break-even point matters. If there is a fair chance you will stop before 5 months, choose a shorter plan.
